There’s something reassuringly old-school about the Yamaha CD-S1000 and the A-S1000 amplifier. Rather big and heavy but very well built with lovely wood trim on the sides. Available in both silver and black.

The chrome legs on the DFS Cavali Range looking pay more than a passing resemblance to to the classic Pieff furniture of the 60′s and 70′s.
The range is also in the current 1/2 price sale and available in much nicer colours to the one shown in the pictures. I personally would go for the cream or beige.
