Barcelona designers Mediodesign have created a birch plywood chair in homage to the Eames elephant. Named the Elephant Lounge Chair, this birch plywood chair was inspired by both the LCW Molded Plywood Chair and the Elephant Stool designed by Eameses in 1945.
The chair cleverly slots together like a puzzle which in turn means that there is very little waste during production, something which is very important in this environmentally conscious society that we live in today.

It is a very cool chair, and really does imply the contours of an elephant. In my mind, the edges of the backrest resemble an elephants ears. I like it, I like it a lot.
