This September, Fritz Hansen launches the classic and versatile Arne Jacobsen’s ‘Series 7′ chair in seven new colours, including the hot pink one (above) by Arik Levy. This extremely comfortable chair was made famous when Christine Keeler, the woman at the centre of the Profumo Scandal was shot in 1963, sitting nude astride a cheaper version of the now iconic chair. The fake can now be seen in the V&A collection and can be viewed online at the V&A website.

Four-to-One Table by Leon Fitzpatrick

The low slung Four-to-One table is a new product recently released by Leon Fitzpatrick. The dining table and matching chairs draw inspiration from both Asian design (its low seating position) and mid-century Scandinavian design (use of bent plywood). The table is easily disassembled and reassembled, making it an ideal candidate for transitional duty between interior and exterior spaces. A sense of intimacy is forged among the table’s patrons with a flush center insert that is softly lit.

Always use a tray!

My grandma would be so proud of me… Never take food without a tray is one of her many rules around the house and with these delightful tables from Design Stockholm it would be a pleasure!
The Tablo tray, designed by Magnus Löfgren, is as decorative as it is useful. Thanks to its high rim and solid form, the risk of spilling food or dropping items is kept at a minimum.
